Abstract
For the 2021 edition of the "SDO and French companies in action" barometer, Global Compact France and PwC France and Maghreb have analyzed the degree of and reasons for commitment of French organizations, as well as their needs to go further.
SMEs are the most committed to their CSR approach
Of the 93% of respondents who said they were aware of the SDGs, 60% were SMEs. The previous year, the number was 10 points lower. This increase is simply a reflection of the increased commitment of SMEs to CSR issues.
Stakeholders are increasingly involved in the SDGs
83% of companies indicate that their stakeholders attach great importance to their commitment to the SDGs. Among SMEs, 50% are committed to meeting the expectations of customers, consumers and major clients.
Sustainable development objectives, creators of value
The Sustainable Development Goals allow French companies to bring meaning and to revitalize their CSR approach. Some even go further, indicating their desire to define their raison d'être in terms of these objectives. Here we note a positive impact of the Pact Law (2019).
